  • ISOLATIONISM

Under no circumstance whatsoever do I subscribe to any degree of isolationism; however, America must now attend to its own interests, to address the important issues that face this country before aggressively forcing our political philosophies, our military and our money onto other countries.
That is imperialism and/or hegemony.
It is not the American way.

We must consider political, monetary, social, cultural and even military success here at home first (true homeland security). Until those goals have been achieved, we demonstrate to the world only weakness and fear by exerting our power and influence on foreign lands and peoples.
In my interviews with Americans around the country, they all asked me to address the one aim of getting the United States of America back on track. Then and then only, maybe in about ten years, we can offer up to the rest of the world a dignified and honorable democratic political system that includes a genuine bipartisanism, a healthy economy, elimination of homelessness, strict law and order for all levels of society, tax reform/equality of taxation, parity/justice for all, a universal health care program to include all 300 million Americans, the best education system in the world, clean water and plenty of it, energy conservation, a solid diplomatic approach/policy toward our allies and supposed enemies.
These goals do not imply isolationism, but rather as Jefferson and Eisenhower implied, an emphasis on making us the best nation on Earth and then perhaps offer our country, expertise and philosophies to the rest of the world.

We are indeed in a global village. We shall and must always endeavor to maintain a healthy balance of trade. We are currently the world’s largest debtor.
So, isolationism is not a consideration. However, honest business practices, feasible trade equanimity, growth of money supply, quantum fluctuations, and the ultimate goal of a reasonable international trade balance is tantamount to our success in the world markets.
Through this difficult process, we might with a little luck, afford ourselves the urgent opportunity of pursuing world peace.
